LATE or MAKE-UP WORK POLICY
It is expected that all work will be turned in on time. Students might possibly arrange time with the teacher to make up late work for reduced credit as determined by the teacher. Students who are absent will have the allotted time as stated in the handbook (two days for each day absent) to complete work. You are responsible for all materials covered if you are absent. I am NOT responsible for reminding you of missed work and tests. You must arrange a time outside of class to make up any missed tests or quizzes due to excused absences. Reminders of tests are given orally and on the daily agenda posted in my room. If you are excused absent on the day an assignment is due, you must hand in the assignment on the day you return to class. If you are given the assignment beforehand, you are expected to have it done the day you return to class. If you have a work in advance slip for family trips or other authorized absences and assignments are given to you prior to the absence, that work is due the day you return. Extra time to complete this work will not be allowed. Due dates for assignments given during the absence will be discussed, and an appropriate amount of time for completion will be given.
ASSESSMENT
Grades: Grading will be determined by daily classwork, homework, quizzes, tests, and writing assignments. Grades are a fixed percentage with 90-100% for an A, 80-89% for a B, 70-79% for a C, and 60-69% for a D. It is expected that all work will be turned in on time. Students might possibly arrange time with the teacher to make up late work for reduced credit as determined by the teacher. Students who are absent will have the allotted time to complete work as stated in the handbook.
MISCELLANEOUS
Keep returned assignments until the quarter ends to prepare for tests and as evidence if any discrepancy arises between your records and the grade book.

Classroom Management Plan
Expectations: Be prompt, be responsible, be attentive, and be considerate.
- Students need to come to class with materials.
- Students should be in their seats and working on the bell ringer when the bell rings
- Video games, music/headphones, and cell phones must be put away prior to entering the classroom.
- Two bathroom passes will be given each quarter.
- Detention will be assigned on the third unexcused tardy and every additional tardy during that quarter.
- Students are to remain seated until dismissed by the teacher, not the bell or the clock
- First offense -- verbal reprimand
- Second offense -- private conference with student, change of seat assignment or other appropriate course of action
- Third offense -- possible detention, possible time-out in another classroom, possible parent contact
- Severe disruption -- immediate expulsion from the class
As a member of a 1:1 program, it is your responsibility to bring your device to class each day, charged and ready for use. Failure to do so may result in a loss of daily points due to the inability to complete work. Repeated offenses may result in detention or parent contact.
Absentee Policy:
If you are absent, it is your responsibility to get assignments and complete them in a timely manner. Assignments will be posted on the bulletin board. If there are questions concerning the work, see me the day of your return. As stated in the student handbook, you have two days for each day of absence to make up work. However, if you are absent only on the day of a test or the day an assignment is due, you will be required to take the test or turn in the work immediately upon your return. School policy on semester classes states that 12 unauthorized absences in one semester will result in a No Grade for that quarter. Any authorized days that result in the total number of absences exceeding 12 must be made up at the teacher’s convenience. Three tardies to class count as one absence. Your attendance is vital to your education.
